Yoga 4 Youth

Our children live in the same hurry-up-and-go world as we adults do. From school to video games and competitive sports, our children can experience stress. I've found that yoga can help counter these pressures. At the Yoga4Youth class, Children will learn techniques for relaxation and inner peace that will allow them to grow up informed on how to handle life's challenges. Yoga is noncompetitive. So there is no added tension to have to win, yet yoga can assist children in developing body awareness, increase coordination & flexibility. Children will have the opportunity to emulate the movements of animals and the sound of animals, reconnecting them with nature while being silly! We will couple this with storytelling and learning all about the body and mind. Benefits include self esteem, body awareness and coordination, balance and flexibility. I certainly hope yoga will offer many possibilities to share good times, exchange wisdom, while laying the foundation of a lifelong practice of achieving balance.

Relax Yo Mind YogaRelax Yo Mind Kemetic Yoga class will be focused on relaxing your mind through various relaxation poses, meditatitive and breathing techniques to reduce stress. Relaxation is the first step in achieving the goals of yoga. Affirmations of health and wholeness will be included to assist each individual in knowing & accessing the power of the mind, through controlling the flow of thoughts.

Body Yoga I & IIBody Kemetic Yoga class will be centered on moving and stretching the body, activating the bodies energy centers, getting the blood flowing and getting a good workout. Develop the mind, body, and breath, generating energy. Learn to move "shu", life force energy through the body and activate the chakras. Class I is for Beginners and Class II will step it up a notch for the more versed in Yoga.

Yoga4YouthYoga with Youth is so much fun! :) Students will learn the basics of yoga. Benefits are body awareness, coordination, strength, flexibility, and focus all through fun animal poses & songs. This is great. This class is for children from the age of 3 up to 12 years.
